Jackets Deals

CE EN 17092 is the current EU jacket standard, with three levels: A (minimum), AA, and AAA (highest). Most textile touring jackets sold in the EU meet Level A; AA and AAA offer meaningfully more abrasion resistance for higher-speed road use. Waterproof membranes (Drystar, Gore-Tex, and proprietary alternatives) vary in breathability — important for the wide temperature swings of Italian and EU riding. Check whether CE armour protectors are included or sold separately before buying.

Before buying

  • CE Level A is the legal minimum — AA or AAA offers significantly better abrasion protection for road riding at speed.
  • Armour pockets should come with protectors included; some jackets are sold without them to hit a lower price point.
  • A removable thermal liner extends the usable temperature range — essential for a jacket marketed as three-season or all-season.
